Millennial Women Know Sexy From Sexualized; Why Don’t Marketers?
Interesting new research from Grayce & Co. which explores the issues around understanding Millenium women in an age that has become so politically correct that these sexually open women are actually starting to feel desexualised.
Apparently 80% of women say they don’t trust brands anymore and feel misunderstood by marketers. They referenced all to common message strategies around co-op empowerment or representing them in an asexual way.
The article cites the elegant difference between still wanting to be portrayed as sexy, without being sexualised.
Maybe some interesting pointers we can take from these finding when creating content services aimed at couples or women (both of which are on the rise).
